Safety and Risk Management Assistant

Qualifications: • Experience with filing and handling of workers’ compensation, liability and property insurance claims • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to problem solve and multitask • Experience working on cross functional teams • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word • Strong self-motivation and attention to detail • Ability to work independently and under deadlines

Responsibilities: • Review, code and process all insurance claims submitted to the Safety or Risk Management Departments • Monitor, coordinate and track workers’ compensation, automobile, general liability and contractor’s equipment claims • Maintain claims and safety databases, compile data and create weekly and monthly reports • Filing; Setup of new and purging of old files, setup and file insurance claims • Manage Certificate of insurance renewals and requests to ensure compliance with contract and bid requirements • Work order entry and distribution • Periodically updating company policy information, including distribution of OSHA and workers’ compensation posting notices and automobile insurance ID cards • Work with the marketing department to provide data and complete bid documents • Provide general administrative support to the Safety and Risk Management Departments • Additional assignments as required
