MSU Administrative Associate III
MSU Administrative Associate III – Chemical and Biological Engineering. Position is an initial point of contact, performing multiple administrative and customer service tasks. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.
General Statement
The mission of the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department is to provide an excellent environment for the scholarly pursuits of education, discovery, and dissemination in chemical and biological engineering in support of Montana State University, the College of Engineering, and the State of Montana. The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department offers programs for approximately 500 undergraduate majors and over 40 graduate students, with 20 faculty, 2 classified staff, plus research and support personnel and undergraduate student employees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide mid- to high-level support for the office with administrative support for multiple staff including the Department Head, faculty, students, and other staff.
- Interpret data and perform fiscal management of ChBE scholarship funds with the MSU Foundation and the Financial Aid Office.
- Maintain department calendars, course schedule, room reservations, and organize and make arrangements for various meetings throughout the year.
- Operate as a “one-person” office and conduct all functions within the work unit, with the exception of, in-depth accounting duties which are performed by specialized accounting staff;
- May create marketing and promotional materials; design and build web pages.
- Interface with diverse groups while serving as the “professional face” of the department in general, and acts as the liaison and clearinghouse for the undergraduate and graduate students and departmental interactions.
