For nearly 140 years, Immaculate Conception Cathedral School (ICCS), located at 1536 Ryan Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana, has stayed true to its mission of strengthening spirits, minds, and bodies through the teachings of Jesus Christ.  ICCS serves nearly 400 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade and employs 42 faculty members and support staff employees. The school is directly affiliated with Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish and the Diocese of Lake Charles.  The ICCS campus is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in the heart of downtown Lake Charles, surrounded by the scenic Margaret Place Historic District. ICCS students excel academically and spiritually due to a vast variety of offerings, including a challenging curriculum, strong faith formation, spiritually infused activities, advanced technology, and creative enrichment offerings. 

Immaculate Conception Cathedral School is searching for a Principal for the 2022-2023 school year to commence July 1, 2022. Candidates must be Catholics in full communion with the Church. Candidates should be a leader who can empower staff, and lead with integrity and consistency. Salary and benefits are negotiable and are based upon qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education Leadership or its equivalent
• Minimum 5 years teaching experience
• Evidence of prior school administration experience – Eligible for state certification
• Catholic school administrative experience preferred
• Excellent spiritual, educational, managerial and communication skills
