Job Description: Associate Media Planner/Buyer
Job Summary: Walz Tetrick is looking for an Associate Media Planner/Buyer to join our media team. If you are
a self-starter who is extremely detail-oriented and organized, you may be just the right fit. This position will be exposed to strategic planning and deeply involved in tactical execution. We’re looking for candidates who prefer to juggle a variety of projects and responsibilities and who won’t be frazzled by switching gears on a moment’s notice. This position will work in a team environment, as well as independently. Strong candidates will be eager to learn and willing to go above and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Compile detailed specs and deadlines for media plans.
- Request and gather information from media vendors.
- Develop point of views (POVs) on media opportunities for submission to clients.
- Negotiation, strategy and placement of out-of-home and print advertising.
- Order and confirm media schedules.
- Work with accounting to reconcile invoices and analyze billing discrepancies.
- Utilize and understand syndicated media research tools.
- Help conduct research for media planning and buying.
- Compile research data and create competitive analysis slides and insights.
- Assist in RFP process, evaluation of vendor proposals.
- Collaborate with Planners and Buyers on buy dashboard recaps and post-performance reporting.
Qualifications
- One to five years of experience in media planning/buying media.
- Strata, Ad Intel and Google mapping experience is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented and thorough.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and keep a positive attitude.
